Why I chose Royal – tee ‘better than yesterday’

I decided to choose ‘better than yesterday’ as the song for our music video because the song has an actual meaning and a message, most generic rap music of the 21^st century Is about money, drugs, women etc. so finding something with a positive meaning to it was what I decided to do. Royal – tee made a song about making today better than yesterday which is inspiring, this is why I feel I can make an inspiring video to match. An idea for the music video was to have someone’s today and yesterday recorded, the ‘yesterday’ version could be in black and white whereas the today video will be in colour but edited to make it brighter which will emphasise the fact that today is better/brighter than yesterday. Another idea was to have someone playing the piano to match the music but the hands will be covered with green screen gloves which will make the playing hands look invisible so you just the piano keys moving by itself, while this is happening the music video will be projected onto the piano itself so that the narrative part of the video is in the performance part of it, the potential target audience is quite broad as it can effect a lot of people weather they are young, old, black or white because making today better than yesterday can relate to everyone.
